Make this smart 1950s Rebecca Jumper ⁄ Sweater for every day living.  This jumper has smart wavy stripes and is worked in a feather stitch pattern. This charming model was originally worked in a natural shade with contrasting colours of brown, rust, orange and yellow. KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust:  to fit 36 inch bust 

 

MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   
2 oz Greenock Brand Fair Isle Fingering in natural

1 oz each of brown, rust, orange, yellow

No. 9 needles (3.75 mm)

No. 11 needles (3 mm)

3 Buttons

 

TENSION:

Worked at a tension of 6 1⁄2 stitches and 8 rows to one inch on No. 9 needles.

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
