KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION
This lovely 1950s Jeanie Fair Isle Jumper ⁄ Sweater is easy to knit. The original jumper was knitted in natural wool for the main colour , and shades of lemon, red, dark green and white for the Fair Isle pattern.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm 36 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
5 oz 3 ply wool in main colour1 large ball 3 ply wool in blue
1 medium sized ball 3 ply wool of each: lemon, dark green and white
No 8 Needles (4.00 mm)
No. 9 Needles (3.75 mm)
No. 11 Needle (3.00 mm)
1 - 4 inch Zip Fastener
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of 7 1⁄2 to one inch on No. 9 (3.75 mm) needles.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
