KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION
This smart 1950s Fair Isle Beret, Scarf & Mitts set is knitted in a most attractive pattern. The beret is simple to work on two needles. The scarf is double thickness worked in stocking stitch with Fair Isle borders and the mitts have the pattern on the back only.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Beret: diameter 9 1⁄2 inches, all around head edge, about 18 inches stretching to fit average head size
Scarf length: 31 inches long
Mitts: width across back of hand above thumbdivision 7 1⁄4 inches, length 9 1⁄2 inches

7 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3 ply in natural
1 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3 ply in blue
1⁄2 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3 ply of each in yellow and green
1⁄4 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3 ply of each in red and white
No. 11 needles (3.00 mm)
TENSION AND YARN:
17 stitches to 2 inches and 11 rows to 1 inch
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
