This lovely 1950s Embroidered Cardigan is worked in panels of raised stitch patterns with ribbing forming the neckline, waistline and sleeves. Flowers are embroidered in the diamond shaped patterns on the front panels and sleeves.

MEASUREMENTS:Bust: to fit 38 to 42 inch bust
MATERIALS:Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
10 to 11 oz 4 Ply Wool
Oddments of 3 contrasting shades for embroidery
No. 9 Needles (3.75 mm)
No. 11 Needles (3.00 mm)
Spare needle with point at both ends
8 Buttons
2 Safety Pins
TENSION AND YARN:
6 1⁄2 stitches and 9 rows to 1 inch on No 9 needles
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
