KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION
This 1940s Willow Jumper ⁄ Sweater with bands of reversed stocking stitch on a plain stocking stitch background, give a pretty raised strip effect to this easy to knit jumper. Broad shouldered, slim waisted and with a straight across neckline. The neck fastens on each side with two tiny buttons. Instructions given for knitting the jumper with short or long sleeves.

MEASUREMENTS
To fit 34 to 36 inch bust size
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder 20 inches
Length of short sleeve from underarm 4 1⁄2 inches, long sleeve just over 18 inches
MATERIALS
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
5 oz Sirdar Super Shetland 3-ply wool for jumper with short sleeves
7 oz Sirdar Super Shetland 3-ply wool for jumper with long sleeves
No. 9 needles (3.75 mm)
No. 11 needles (3.00 mm)
Fine crochet hook
4 buttons
4 hooks and eyes
TENSION
About 7 1⁄2 stitches and 9 rows to one inch over the sections worked on No. 9 needles.

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
