KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION
This 1940s Willamina Twin Set In Fair Isle was originally made in Fair Isle wool, but can also be knitted in 3 ply fingering. It will have a shorter yardage per ounce. Allow an extra ounce for the main colour wool for each garment.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: to fit 34 to 36 inch bust
MATERIALS:Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
10 oz. Fair Isle Wool in natural
1 oz of each Fair Isle Wool in red, wool and green
No. 9 needles (3.75 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)
Medium sized Crochet Hook
10 Buttons
TENSION AND YARN:
9 stitches and 9 rows to 1 inch over the ribs
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
