KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION
This 1940s Two Colour Fair Isle Jumper ⁄ Sweater was originally knitted in natural and wine. The classic lines show off the simple to follow Fair Isle, and all over spot with a broad band of pattern round the yoke line, and a narrow one above the deep welt.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm 34 inches
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder: 19 inches
Length of sleeve from underarm: 18 inches
MATERIALS:Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
7 oz. Sirdar Majestic Wool 3 ply in main colour2 oz. Sirdar Sirdar Majestic Wool 3 ply in contrasting colour
No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)2 Small Buttons
TENSION AND YARN:
8 stitches and 10 rows to 1 inch
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
