KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION

 

This 1940s Three For Luck Set is perfect to wear around town.  This delightful set was originally knitted in white and the Fair Isle Pattern in turquoise. It includes instructions to knit a Cardigan Jumper, Bonnet and Gloves. 

 

KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust:  32 inches

Gloves:  3 1⁄2 inches across the palm

Bonnet:  will fit average sized head


MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   

8 oz 3 Ply Wool in White

3 oz 3 Ply Wool in Turquoise

No. 9 Needles (3.75 mm)

No. 12 Needles (2.75 mm)

Medium Sized Crochet Hook

9 Buttons

 

TENSION  AND YARN:

17 stitches to 2 inches in width and 9 rows to 1 inch in depth on No. 9 needles

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern.  Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
