This pretty 1940s Summer Stripes Jumper ⁄ Sweater is perfect to knit for spring and summer. The new neckline and simple lace pattern to set off the striped yoke, complete the figure flattering design.


KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust size:  32 to 34 inches
Length 19 inches
Sleeve seam , short 7 inches, long 18 1⁄2 inches


MATERIALS:

 Original Yarn and needle size info:   

5 oz. Copley's Cryscelle White for short sleeve model

3 oz. Copley's Cryscelle Royal Blue for short sleeve model

5 oz. Copley's Cryscelle White for long sleeve model

5 oz. Copley's Cryscelle Royal Blue for long sleeve model

No. 12 (2.75 mm) knitting needles

No. 10 (3.25 mm) knitting needles

No. 12 crochet hook (2.50 mm)

6 small buttons

1 pair shoulder pads


TENSION:

Using No. 10 (3.25 mm) needles, work to produce 8 stitches and 10 rows to 1 square inch in smooth fabric. (1 row K., 1 row P.)

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
