These 1940s Socks Knitted On Two Needles are perfect for cooler days and complete your autumn vintage outfit.


KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Length of Leg with cuff turned down:  5 inches

Length of Foot (adjustable):  9 inches


MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   
2 oz Listers Lavenda 3 ply
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)

 

TENSION  AND YARN:

 8 stitches and 11 rows to 1 inch 

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern.  Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
