This 1940s Scarlet Jumper ⁄ Sweater can be knitted with short or long sleeves. The lacy jumper will look stunning in any colour. This all occasion jumper is suitable to wear any time, day or night.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:
Bust: width all around at underarm, 38 inches
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder: 20 inches
Length of sleeve from underarm: 5 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
4 oz. Patons Beehive fingering 2-ply for short sleeves
6 oz. Patons Beehive fingering 2-ply for long sleeves
No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)
No 3 steel crochet hook (1.90 mm)
No. 9 crochet hook (3.50 mm)
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of one repeat of the main pattern (6 stitches) to 1 inch in width with No. 10 needles, without pressing.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
