This 1940s Sarah Fair Isle Waistcoat was designed for a young girl but would suit any age. A chart is included for the Fair Isle pattern.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: to fit 32 to 34 inch bust
Length from shoulder: 19 inches
MATERIALS:Original Yarn and needle size info:
3 oz Fair Isle fingering in white
2 oz in red
No. 10 Knitting Needles (3.25 mm)
No. 11 Knitting Needles (3.00 mm)
7 Buttons
TENSION:8 stitches to 1 inch unpressed
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
