TENSION

The tension for this jumper is 17 stitches to 2 inches in width and 10 rows to one inch in depth over the stocking stitch.

Tension means the number of stitches that you should obtain to every inch in width across the work, and the number of rows you should obtain to every inch in depth.

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
