This 1940s Rosie Jumper ⁄ Sweater can be knitted with short or long sleeves. This broad shouldered and slim waisted jumper will look stunning in any colour and is suitable to wear any time, day or night.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:
Bust: to fit 34 to 35 inch bust
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder: 18 ½ inches
Length of sleeve from underarm: short 6 1⁄2 inches, long 18 1⁄2 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
6 oz. Marriner's 3-ply wool for short sleeves
8 oz. Marriner's 3-ply wool for long sleeves
No. 10 Needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 Needles (2.75 mm)
4 Buttons
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of 7 1⁄2 stitches and 9 1⁄2 rows to 1 inch with No. 10 Needles (3.25mm).
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
