This 1940s Peony Jumper ⁄ Sweater is the perfect vintage jumper to knit for spring and summer. Instructions for short and long sleeves are included.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm, 33 inches, but will comfortably stretch to 38 inches
Sleeve at seam: 5 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
4 oz. Patons Beehive fingering 2-ply for short sleeves6 oz for long sleeves
No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)No. 13 needles (2.25 mm)
No. 2 steel crochet hook (2.10 mm)
5 small buttons
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of one repeat of the pattern to 2 inches in width with No. 10 (3.25mm) knitting needles.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
