This unusual 1940s Paula Jumper ⁄ Sweater was designed for the lovely film star Paula Valenska, star of "Three Men And A Girl". Three different colours form its saw toothed bands which are linked together with a pretty flower motif. Knit this attractive jumper in a colour combination that reflects your vintage style.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: to fit 34 to 35 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
7 oz W.B. Melody wool 3 ply (2 oz dark, 3 oz medium, 2 oz light)No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)
3 small buttons to match light wool
Medium crochet hook
TENSION:
Worked to a tension of 8 stitches to 1 inch on No. 10 needles, unpressed.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
