This 1940s Laura Fair Isle Vest is perfect to wear with trousers or a skirt for a classic 1940s look. With traditional Fair Isle motifs this vest is knit in two pieces with a partial front opening. The original vest was knitted in shades of Natural, Brown, Red, Emerald and Green.

MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm 36 inches
Length from shoulder: 19 1⁄2 inches
MATERIALS:Original Yarn and needle size info:
4 oz Patons Fair Isle Fingering in Natural
1 oz each of Patons Fair Isle Fingering in Brown, Red, Emerald and Green
No. 9 Knitting Needles (3.75 mm)
No. 11 Knitting Needles (3 mm)
TENSION:7 1⁄2 stitches to 1 inch in width
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
