The 1940s Kindra Norwegian Bonnet And Mitts are fabulous woollies designed to keep you warm. The pattern instructions include a Fair Isle Chart for the mittens.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bonnet: to fit the average head
Mittens: 6 1⁄4 to 6 3⁄4 hand
ORIGINAL YARN SUGGESTION:
BONNET
4 oz 3 ply fingering (2 oz main, 2 oz contrasting)
No. 10 Needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 Needles (2.75 mm)
TENSION AND YARN:
10 stitches to 1 inch on No. 12 needles
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
