This 1940s Kate Jumper ⁄ Sweater is a charming vintage jumper with a lovely lace pattern to knit for spring and summer. Instructions for short and long sleeves are included.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: 34 to 36 inches
Sleeve at seam: short 4 1⁄2 inches, long 18 inches
Length from shoulder: 19 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
4 oz. Listers Lavenda 2 ply or 6 oz 3 ply for short sleeves5 1⁄2 oz Listers Lavenda 2 ply or 8 oz 3 ply for long sleeves
No. 10 knitting needles (3.25 mm)No. 12 knitting needles (2.75 mm)
2 small buttons
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of 7 1⁄2 stitches and 10 rows to one inch with No. 10 (3.25mm) knitting needles.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
