KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION

 

This fabulous Swedish 1940s Freya Jumper ⁄ Sweater is perfect to knit for every day living. The  jumper is worked in an attractive Fair Isle pattern throughout. Make it in shades that reflect your true vintage style.

 

KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust:  width all around at underarm 34 inches

 

MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   
5 oz Patons Fair Isle fingering in natural, 1 oz rust

Oddments of gold, white, blue

No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)

No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)

Stitch holder

6 buttons

 

TENSION:

Worked to a tension of 7 1⁄2 stitches and 9 1⁄2 rows on No 10 needles to one square inch over pattern.

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
