This pretty 1940s Flora Jumper ⁄ Sweater has an attractive Fair Isle pattern accross the yoke and puffed sleeves. The original jumper was knitted in brown and natural shades but would look charming knitted with sharp contrasting colours. Knit this vintage jumper in a colour combination that suits your style.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:
Bust: to fit 34 inch bust
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder: 18 ½ inches
Length of sleeve from underarm: 6 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
4 oz. Heritage 3-ply wool in brown
2 oz. Heritage 3-ply wool in natural
No. 10 Needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 Needles (2.75 mm)
6 Small Buttons
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of 7 1⁄2 stitches and 9 1⁄2 rows to 1 inch with No. 10 Needles (3.25mm).
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
