Make this stunning 1940s Fay Jumper ⁄ Sweater And Bolero Set. This attractive bolero was originally knitted in a ground shade. The jumper suggested colour combination is ground shade, green, navy and white. Instructions for knitting long sleeves are included for both garments.

MEASUREMENTS:
JUMPER
Bust: 34 to 36 inches
Sleeve at seam: short 5 1⁄2 inches, long 18 inches
Length from shoulder: 18 1⁄2 inches
BOLERO
Bust: 34 to 36 inches
Sleeve at seam: three quarter 13 1⁄2 inches, long 18 inches
Length from shoulder: 15 1⁄2 inches
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
JUMPER SHORT SLEEVES
3 oz. Listers Lavenda 3 ply in ground shade
1 1⁄2 oz each of 3 contrasting shades
JUMPER LONG SLEEVES
4 oz Listers Lavenda 3 ply in ground shade
1 1⁄2 oz each of 3 contrasting shades
BOLERO
8 oz (long) or 7oz (three quarter sleeves) Listers Lavenda 3 ply in ground shade
No. 9 knitting needles (3.75 mm)
No. 10 knitting needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 knitting needles (2.75 mm)
3 small buttons for jumper
TENSION:
Worked at a tension of 7 1⁄2 stitches and 10 rows to one inch with No. 10 (3.25mm) knitting needles.
Worked at a tension of 7 stitches and 9 rows to one inch with No. 9 (3.75mm) knitting needles.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
