Bringing vintage vibes to the present one stitch at a time, with this charming 1940s Elaine Jumper knitting pattern. This glamorous pattern features ruched stripes, playful puffed sleeves and a ribbed waistline that whispers of a bygone era. 

 

KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust:  to fit 34 to 36 inch bust

Length from shoulder:  18 1⁄2  inches

Sleeve seam:  5  inches

 

MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   
5 oz Lister's Lavenda 3 ply, ground shade

1 oz each of three contrasting shades

2 oz if  only one contrasting shade to be used

No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)

No. 12  needles (2.75  mm)

2 Small buttons

 

TENSION:

7 1⁄2 stitches and 10 rows to one inch with No 10 needles

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
