Knit this 1940s Charming Fair Isle Jumper ⁄ Sweater. It was originally knitted in Navy, white and turquoise. This smart jumper has a becoming straight neckline and comfortably fitting sleeves in broad rib. Instructions are given for long or short sleeves.

MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm 34 inches
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder: 19 1⁄2 inches
Length of sleeve from underarm: short 5 1⁄2 inches, long 18 inches

7 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3-ply wool in Navy long sleeves6 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3-ply wool in Navy short sleeves
2 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3-ply wool in White
1 oz. Patons Beehive Fingering 3-ply wool in Turquoise
No. 11 needles (3.00 mm)
No. 9 needles (3.75 mm)
TENSION AND YARN:
Over the Fair Isle pattern, 17 stitches to 2 inches and 25 rows to 3 inches.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
