The pattern instructions for knitting the Back and Front bodice states:
61 stitches across rows on No. 10 needles, at a tension of 3.5 stitches to 1 inch the width. The measurement all around at underarm for the jumper, based on the number of stitches and tension is about 35 inches.
61 stitches ÷ 3.5 (stitches per inch) = 17.4 at underarm per bodice
17.4 x 2 = 34.8 inches all around at underarm

2 - 3 3⁄4 oz Skeins Jack Frost Knitting Worsted Wool
US No 6 Needles (4 mm)
US No 10 Needles (6 mm)
TENSION
Worked at a tension of 7 stitches to 2 inches
