KNITTING PATTERN INFORMATION

 

This 1940s Azalea Jumper ⁄ Sweater is perfect for daywear with a skirt or trousers. The detailing around the neckline and sleeves form a smart and unusual pattern to knit.


KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS 


MEASUREMENTS:

Bust:  32 to 33 inches
Length from lower edge to top of shoulder:  18 1⁄2 inches
Length of sleeve from underarm:  6 inches


MATERIALS:

Original Yarn  suggestion and needle size info:   
7 oz. Melody 3-ply wool
No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)

 

TENSION  AND YARN:

 7 1⁄2  stitches to one inch in width

 

The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern.  Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.

 

When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
