Knit this 1940s Annika Jumper ⁄ Sweater with its lovely floral Fair Isle pattern. This charming fitted jumper is design for a teenager but would suit any age. The original jumper was knitted in a natural shade and scarlet. If you love florals and Fair Isle, you'll have fun choosing your own colour combination for this knitting project.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: to fit 32 inch bust
MATERIALS:
Original Yarn suggestion and needle size info:
5 oz Patons Fingering in natural shade, 1 oz in scarlet for short sleeves7oz Patons Fingering in natural shade for long sleeves
No. 10 needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 needles (2.75 mm)
4 inch Zipp fastener
One stitch holder
TENSION:
Worked to a tension of 8 stitches and 8 rows on No. 10 needles to 1 square inch measured over Fair Isle pattern.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select the yarn type that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
