This trim 1940s Ailis Twin Set is perfect to wear over a skirt or trousers. The original twin set was knitted in a natural shade for the main colour and red, yellow, brown, green and blue for the Fair Isle pattern.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:Bust: width all around at underarm 38 inches
For 36 to 37 inch bust size, use No 10 and No 13 Needles.
MATERIALS:Original Yarn and needle size info:
8 oz 3 ply wool in natural shade1⁄2 oz e 3 ply wool for each in red, yellow, brown, green, blue
No.. 9 Knitting Needles (3.25 mm)
TENSION:7 stitches to 1 inch on No. 9 Needles.
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
