Step back in time to the glamour of the 1930s with this Ellis Pixie Hood and Gauntlet Gloves set knitting pattern. Knit this fabulous vintage set to keep you warm as toast and looking fabulous on the coldest days.
KNITTING PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
MEASUREMENTS:The hood measures 20 inches round face and is 7 inches in depth from front to back.
The gloves are size 6 1⁄2.
ORIGINAL YARN SUGGESTION:
5 oz 4 ply wool in main colour
1 oz 4 ply wool in contrasting shade
No. 10 Needles (3.25 mm)
No. 12 Needles (2.75) - set of 4
TENSION AND YARN:
8 stitches and 10 rows to 1 inch
The original yarn may not be available due to the age of the pattern. Select yarn that is closest to the weight of the original yarn.
When reworking the pattern it is best to knit a tension swatch with your chosen yarn. To get the correct measurements, your tension must be the same as stated in the pattern.
